Our exclusive Silver Medal-winning Margaux is a blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot and 2% Cabernet Franc. It has spent 14 months in oak barrels of which 60% were new. Winemaker Régis uses eight different barrel types which can add layers of flavour and complexity to the wine. Margaux, one of the most famous appellations in the world, should be an elegant wine, with fragrance and subtlety. You will not be disappointed!
Givry blanc Champ Pourot, Domaine Ragot, Burgundy
The vines are grown on a small 1.5 hectare plot called Champ (field) Pourot. The Chardonnay vines average over 50 years old. It is aged for ten months in 25% new oak barrels. It’s a delicious, well balanced white Burgundy with freshness and layers of spicy, buttery depth. The colour has a pale lemon hue with intense aromas of citrus and stone fruit with spicy oak and stony minerality. In the mouth there are lovely fresh orchard fruits; red apple and peach combined with butter, toast and honey which linger long in the finish.
