Join us at our fascinating biodynamic vineyard Montirius for the most important time in their calendar … the harvest. We will roll up our sleeves for a lesson in grape picking alongside our award-winning winemakers Eric and Christine and the rest of the Saurel family. We will gain an insight into what happens to the grapes once they are picked and witness at first-hand how wine is made.
We arrive at the Hôtel du Fiacre in Carpentras for introductions, aperitif and then dinner at a local restaurant. In the morning we depart for our grape picking experience and receive our instructions from Christine and Eric. Once we’re finished, we join the rest of the workforce for a Vendangeurs lunch at a local restaurant.
During our time in the Rhône Valley, we will also visit La Fagotière, our vineyard in the iconic Châteauneuf-duPape appellation and take in the sights of the historic town of Avignon as well as sample the great gastronomy and beautiful countryside.
The event includes: 3 nights’ accommodation, sharing a double en-suite room. Dinner (with wine) on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings; lunch (with wine) on Friday; and coach transport on Friday & Saturday. NB Lunch on Saturday in Avignon is not included.
